At the vocational training center of the SOS Children's Village Nuremberg, we accompany young people on their way to a professional future. Our aim is to open up new prospects for them through individual support, supervision and practical training - from entry to personal stabilization and successful professional integration. There are currently around 230 young people and young adults in various measures for professional integration and personal stabilization at the Nuremberg location.
Our programs are aimed at young people under the age of 25 who have few opportunities on the initial training market. They often lack school qualifications, family support, self-confidence or social skills. Many participants have experienced failure and need a new approach to education and work. Our services start where young people need support in entering the world of work.
We offer a wide range of training occupations in our own workshops and through cooperative training models with companies:
Metal: The metal trade is more than just sawing, welding and screwing. The following professions can be learned with us: Construction mechanic and metal technology specialist
Wood: carpenter and specialist practitioner for wood processing
Paint and interior design: painter and varnisher, interior decorator
Gastronomy: chef and qualified kitchen technician
Commercial sector: gardening and landscaping as well as other fields in the service, business/administration and logistics sectors
